The Director of the Quang Ninh Provincial Department of Tourism has extended a proposal for cooperation with a group of tourism research experts from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. Accordingly, the research group will support and advise the province in developing a community-based tourism development plan in Quang Ninh. Based on specific surveys in various localities and identifying the potential and strengths of community-based tourism in Quang Ninh, the group will develop a comprehensive tourism development plan for the region.

Mr. Pham Ngoc Thuy emphasized that the province expects scientists from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, with their existing experience and capabilities, to propose effective solutions regarding policy mechanisms for the development of tourism in Quang Ninh, attracting the participation of businesses in local economic development, and contributing to improving the lives of the people. If the project is successful, it will be a model of tripartite cooperation: government – ​​scientists – businesses in practice.

Vice Rector Tran Thi Minh Hoa expressed her gratitude for the trust placed in the university's scientists by the Quang Ninh Department of Tourism and proposed several suggestions to quickly realize this collaborative idea in the near future. The lecturers of the Faculty of Tourism Studies also hoped to apply their scientific knowledge to the province's development model.

The two sides also initially exchanged views on the current situation, potential, and direction of community-based tourism in Quang Ninh. Accordingly, the province has diverse resources and tourist sources, making it easy to promote this activity. However, the steps need to be systematic, with thorough field surveys, taking into account the unique resources and culture of each locality to create distinctive tourism products. In addition, it is necessary to consider the coordination between businesses and local people in tourism development to ensure a harmonious balance of interests for both sides.
