Faculty of Management Science announces a series of activities to celebrate its 15th anniversary

According to Associate Professor, Dr. Dao Thanh Truong (Head of the Faculty of Management Science), since 2004, the Faculty has trained 798 bachelors of Management Science in the standard regular system, 185 bachelors of Management Science in the high-quality regular system, 1,158 graduates of the VHVL system and currently has 388 full-time students, 156 students of the VHVL system studying. The Faculty has also trained more than 500 masters and nearly 60 PhD students. This is an impressive achievement for a faculty with only 15 years of development. It can be said that the Faculty has contributed to providing high-quality human resources for the country in many specific fields of Management Science, Science and Technology Management, Intellectual Property, Public Policy, etc.

On behalf of the school's leadership, Vice Principal Hoang Anh Tuan highly appreciated the efforts of the Faculty of Management Science. Although still young with 15 years of establishment and development, the Faculty is very active in opening new training majors and majors in Management Science, which is one of the pillars in the school's scientific research activities.

Sharing about the significance of the meeting, Associate Professor, Dr. Dao Thanh Truong said that the Faculty wants to establish an official Liaison Committee of the Faculty's alumni network, to be able to connect and promote the huge potential of this team to contribute to the development of the Faculty. The Liaison Committee will have the task of promoting exchanges and interactions between brothers and sisters to be able to support each other in improving skills, knowledge as well as promoting the traditions and values ​​that the Faculty is building and aiming for.

Associate Professor, Dr. Dao Thanh Truong (Head of the Faculty of Management Science) introduced the journal Policy and Management Research and the plan to invite articles for the special issue.

Officially established in 2006, the Faculty is currently undertaking the task of training bachelors in Management Science with 05 training majors:Social Policy, Science and Technology Management, Human Resource Management, Intellectual Property Management, Public Policy.The Faculty is also training Masters in two majors:Science and Technology Management and Management ScienceIn the coming time, the Faculty will have 03 more official Master training programs enrolling students including:Public Policy, Human Resource Management and Intellectual Property ManagementSince 2013, the Faculty has started training PhDs in Science and Technology Management and is currently one of the prestigious training institutions in this field in the country.

Dr. Nguyen Thi Kim Chi (Deputy Head of Faculty of Management Science) introduces the activities of the Faculty.

Not only pioneering in opening new training majors, the Faculty is also considered a dynamic unit in participating in bidding and implementing scientific research tasks according to orders from superior agencies, local provinces and cities, domestic and foreign units. The Faculty is also one of the few units that has built a strong research team at VNU level and regularly published research products over the past many years.

Alumni expressed their eagerness to participate in contributing to the Faculty's activities on the occasion of its founding anniversary.

Also in this meeting, the Faculty announced a series of activities to be held on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of the Faculty. The focus is on a group of academic activities, aiming to summarize the typical research achievements of the team of scientists, lecturers, students, and PhD students of the Faculty. The Faculty will organize a workshop on "Opportunities and challenges for the Management Science sector in the trend of international integration"; publish 02 special issues on Management Science in the Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities (University of Social Sciences and Humanities) and the Journal of Policy and Management Studies (VNU Science Journal). The second group is a group of other events such as: a logo and slogan design contest about the Faculty; a writing contest "Management Science: yesterday, today and tomorrow" for students and alumni.;The campaign contest "The Amazing Race - Management Science - challenging all limits"; Photo exhibition "Management Science - Achievements and Prospects"; Camp "Management Impressions"; Speech contest "Future and Managers"; Gala "Colors of Management"... The third is the official celebration event that will take place in November 2017.

Opinions suggest that it is necessary to further promote communication activities to create a stronger spread of information about the Faculty, not only among alumni but also to the outside society.

At the meeting, the alumni and students of the Faculty expressed their joy and pride in the growth of the Faculty. They also contributed many useful ideas in building the alumni network, coordinating to promote communication activities about the anniversary... At the end of the ceremony, the Faculty of Management Science Alumni Liaison Committee was officially established and introduced to a large number of guests.
