The Faculty of Management Science announces a series of activities to celebrate its 15th anniversary.

According to Associate Professor Dr. Dao Thanh Truong (Head of the Faculty of Management Science), since 2004, the Faculty has trained 798 regular Bachelor of Management Science graduates, 185 regular Bachelor of Management Science graduates in the high-quality program, and 1158 part-time students. Currently, there are 388 full-time students and 156 part-time students enrolled. The Faculty has also trained over 500 Master's degree holders and nearly 60 doctoral candidates. This is an impressive achievement for a faculty with only 15 years of development. It can be said that the Faculty has contributed to providing high-quality human resources for the country in many specific fields such as Management Science, Science and Technology Management, Intellectual Property, Public Policy, etc.

On behalf of the University's leadership, Vice Rector Hoang Anh Tuan highly appreciated the efforts of the Faculty of Management Science. Although still young with only 15 years of establishment and development, the Faculty is very dynamic in opening new majors and specializations in Management Science, and is one of the pillars in the University's scientific research activities.

Sharing the significance of the meeting, Associate Professor Dr. Dao Thanh Truong said that the Faculty wanted to establish an official liaison committee for its alumni network to connect and leverage the immense potential of this group to contribute to the Faculty's development. The liaison committee will be responsible for promoting exchange and interaction among alumni to support each other in improving skills and knowledge, as well as upholding the traditions and values ​​that the Faculty is building and striving for.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dao Thanh Truong (Head of the Faculty of Management Science) introduced the journal Policy and Management Research and the plan to invite articles for the special issue.

Officially established in 2006, the Faculty is currently responsible for training Bachelor of Science in Management with 05 specialized training directions:Social Policy, Science and Technology Management, Human Resource Management, Intellectual Property ManagementPublic Policy.The department also offers Master's programs in two specializations:Science and Technology Management and Management ScienceIn the near future, the Faculty will have three more official Master's degree programs open for enrollment, including:Public Policy, Human Resource Management, and Intellectual Property ManagementSince 2013, the Faculty has been training PhDs in Science and Technology Management and is currently one of the most reputable training institutions in this field nationwide.

Dr. Nguyen Thi Kim Chi (Deputy Head of the Faculty of Management Science) introduced the activities of the Faculty.

Not only is the Faculty a pioneer in opening new training programs, but it is also recognized as a dynamic unit in participating in bidding and carrying out scientific research tasks commissioned by higher-level agencies, provinces and cities, and domestic and international organizations. The Faculty is also one of the few units that has built a strong research group at the Vietnam National University, Hanoi and has regularly published research products over the years.

The alumni expressed their eagerness to participate and contribute to the Faculty's activities on the occasion of its founding anniversary.

During this meeting, the Faculty also announced a series of activities to be organized to celebrate its 15th anniversary. The focus will be on academic activities, aiming to summarize the outstanding research achievements of the Faculty's scientists, lecturers, students, and doctoral candidates. The Faculty will organize a seminar on "Opportunities and Challenges for Management Science in the Trend of International Integration"; publish two special issues on Management Science in the Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities (University of Social Sciences and Humanities) and the journal on Policy and Management Research (Journal of Science, Vietnam National University, Hanoi). Second, there will be other events such as: a logo and slogan design competition for the Faculty; and a writing competition on "Management Science: Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow" for students and alumni.;The event includes the "The Amazing Race - Management Science - Challenging All Limits" competition; the "Management Science - Achievements and Prospects" photo exhibition; the "Impressive Management" camp; the "Future and Managers" public speaking competition; and the "Colorful Management" gala night… The third event is the official anniversary celebration, which will take place in November 2017.

Opinions suggest that communication activities need to be further strengthened to create a stronger dissemination of information about the Faculty, not only among alumni but also to the wider community.

At the reunion, alumni and students of the Faculty expressed their joy and pride in the Faculty's growth. They also contributed many useful ideas for building an alumni network and coordinating efforts to promote the anniversary celebration. At the end of the ceremony, the Faculty of Management Science Alumni Association was officially established and introduced to the numerous guests.
