Professor Vu Duong Ninh (Chairman of the Association of Retired Faculty of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, term II) summarized the Association's activities in five main areas.
First and foremost, the Association has always prioritized organizational work, ensuring that activities are systematic and effective. The Association has contributed opinions to the "Regulations on the Activities of the Association of Retired Faculty Members of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities," held internal discussions on the working regulations of the Executive Committee, and reviewed and streamlined the operational structure of its affiliated branches.
In addition, the association meticulously carries out activities such as visiting and encouraging members in difficult circumstances, visiting and socializing during holidays, and organizing birthday celebrations for elderly retired teachers, contributing to strengthening the bonds of camaraderie among members.

As veteran educators and scientists, these teachers still have the opportunity to develop their abilities and qualities to contribute to the common good.
As educators and scientists from various fields, former faculty members of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities continue to develop their professional capabilities through organizing scientific seminars, such as: "Uncle Ho and the University" - commemorating the 45th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's last letter to the education sector; "Seventy Years of the Faculty of Literature's Tradition" - commemorating the day President Ho Chi Minh signed the decree establishing the Faculty of Literature, the cradle that sparked the University's scientific tradition; "Sixty Years of Hanoi University" - aiming to share memories and draw valuable lessons from the traditions of its renowned predecessor institution...
Trips to historical sites and historical landmarks are a highly appreciated and enthusiastically received activity from the association's members. To commemorate the 60th anniversary of Hanoi University, the association organized a trip to Van Tho commune (Dai Tu district, Thai Nguyen province), where the Literature and History faculties were evacuated during the war against the US. Such meaningful trips leave many beautiful memories and emotions in the hearts of the members.

In particular, the direct contributions of former faculty members to the training and research activities of the University have always been recognized and highly appreciated by the Party Committee, the Board of Directors, and generations of students and trainees. Even after retirement, many teachers continue to teach classes, participate in scientific research projects, publish books, write articles in specialized journals, and participate in thesis and dissertation evaluation committees… They constantly improve their knowledge and contribute their intellect to the research and training endeavors of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
