The seminar also had the participation of representatives of Central Ministries, Departments, Branches and organizations, scientists, press and media agencies and more than 100 students from the following schools: University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Hanoi University, Diplomatic Academy, Academy of Journalism and Communication and Russian students studying in Vietnam.

In his opening speech, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Kim highlighted the great significance and profound international nature of the Russian October Revolution. This is an opportunity to affirm the stature and historical value of the Russian October Revolution and the great contributions of real socialism in human history. From there, scientists re-evaluated the experiences, historical lessons, successes and limitations of real socialism, and the model of the Soviet state. These studies are necessary to draw out new, fast, sustainable development rules and methods, in line with the trend of the times, to realize the fundamental goals that our Party and State have determined to soon turn the country into an industrialized country, in the context of the 4th Industrial Revolution.
On behalf of the Organizing Committee, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Kim expressed his belief that through this discussion, the young generation will have a deeper understanding of the values and noble goals of the October Revolution. Students will be strengthened in their belief in the ideals of life, in the scientific and profound philosophies of life proposed by the founders of Scientific Socialism Marx and Engels, which were later developed by Lenin and President Ho Chi Minh along with many other patriots and revolutionaries.
Comrade Nguyen Ngoc Luong (Secretary of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union) presented the opening report of the Seminar, raising three main topics that need to be discussed. These are: the stature, historical value, and epochal significance of the Russian October Revolution for the world revolutionary movement and the Vietnamese revolution; the historical significance of the Russian October Revolution and the application of Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh Thought to the path of national liberation and socialism in Vietnam today, especially focusing on clarifying the achievements, opportunities and challenges, and lessons learned from Vietnam after more than 30 years of renovation; the significance of the Russian October Revolution for political awareness, revolutionary ideals, and the process of training, striving to study, and contributing of youth and students in today's era.
Ms. Shafinskia Natalia Valerievna (Director of the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Hanoi), in her speech, commented: “With all the diversity of opinions and assessments of the events of 100 years ago in Russia, no one can deny that, as a result of the October Revolution, world history had to change its development vector.”.

Prof. Dr. Ta Ngoc Tan on behalf of the Presidium summarized the Seminar program.
Summarizing the discussion, Prof. Dr. Ta Ngoc Tan emphasized: “We can summarize three great meanings of the Russian October Revolution. First, the Revolution created a special social regime that has never existed in history, a social regime that has been the dream of all progressive humanity, which is Socialism. Second, it opened a path to liberate oppressed peoples around the world. Third, it promoted the struggle for democracy, freedom, and food and clothing for working people in capitalist countries. Today's discussion has contributed to spreading those meanings, helping the young generation expand the scope of knowledge reception. That knowledge is not only about the October Revolution, but also about other issues of national history.”
