Also accompanying the delegation were Taiwanese writer Wu Sheng-hung (pen name Wu Sheng), Professor Lin Ming-de (Chairman of the Taiwan Folk Arts Foundation), Professor Chen Yi-yuan (Director of the Institute of Social Sciences, Xiamen University), and Ms. Xiao Shu-zheng (Deputy Director of the Taiwan Literature Museum).

Professor and Principal Pham Quang Minh expressed his joy at welcoming the Chief Representative of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office, Taiwanese scientists and especially writer Ngo Thinh to visit and exchange books with the school's students.

Sharing information about the school, the Principal Professor said that Literature is a major with a long tradition of training and research here. The school has Taiwanese partners such as National Taiwan University, Wenzao University of Foreign Studies, National Taiwan University of Political Science, Chenggong University... The school has a Taiwan Education Center to promote exchange programs between the two sides.

The school has the Department of Chinese Studies, the Center for Chinese Studies, and the Faculty of Literature, which are all units with great interest in Chinese culture and literature. The translation and introduction of the book “Sweet Shoulder” today is a typical and meaningful cooperation activity between the school and the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office, especially in the context of modest understanding of Taiwanese literature in Vietnam.

Mr. Richard Thach Thuy Ky thanked the University for its support and emphasized that the University of Social Sciences and Humanities is the leading university in Vietnam in the fields of Social Sciences and Humanities and the two sides have had close cooperation. He expressed his belief that the cooperative relationship between the two sides will continue to develop in the future. To help people from both sides understand each other, the work “Sweet Shouldering - Poetry and Prose Duet by Ngo Thinh” was chosen to introduce to Vietnamese readers. Writer Ngo Thinh is a very famous contemporary writer in Taiwan and his poem “Sweet Shouldering” has been included in Taiwan’s secondary school textbooks.

Mr. Richard Thach Thuy Ky hopes that exchange activities like this will continue to take place and hopes that in the future there will be more Vietnamese writers, poets and representative works of Vietnamese literature introduced to the Taiwanese public.
