Welcoming the delegation from Naresuan University (Thailand)

During the meeting, Professor Pham Quang Minh briefly introduced the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, a leading institution for training and research in social sciences and humanities in Vietnam. Every year, the University sends students and lecturers for exchange programs and research at universities in Thailand. Among the University's more than 300 official international partners are Thai universities such as Chukalongkon, Mahidol, Thammasat, Chiang Mai, and Bangsomdejchaopraya Rajabhat. The University's Faculty of International Studies has successfully trained two Master's graduates in International Relations from Thailand. The Rector expressed hope that both sides would strengthen cooperation through areas such as organizing international conferences, student and lecturer exchanges, and implementing joint training programs.

In response, Associate Professor Wichian Intasi expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. He stated that the Faculty of Social Sciences at Naresuan University offers four undergraduate programs: Psychology, History, Political Science and Public Administration, Sociology, and Ethnology. In addition, there are master's programs in Social Development, Political Science, and Southeast Asian Studies, and two doctoral programs in Social Development and Southeast Asian Studies. Therefore, the two sides share many similarities for building and developing cooperation. Naresuan University also expressed its desire to send students, trainees, and faculty members to visit and intern at our institution.

Professor Pham Quang Minh stated that the University of Social Sciences and Humanities will create the best conditions to welcome Thai students and trainees. The Rector also introduced some outstanding collaborative training models of the University with foreign partners such as Stirling University (UK), Busan University (South Korea), and the Free University of Berlin (Germany) for Naresuan University's reference. Furthermore, the Rector emphasized the importance of international students in maintaining bilateral cooperation.

Naresuan University is a public university located in Phitsanulok Province, northern Thailand. It was established as a separate university on July 29, 1990. The university offers over 58 undergraduate and 55 postgraduate programs in various fields such as Agricultural Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Medicine, Pharmacy, and Social Sciences. Each year, 15 students from Naresuan University study Vietnamese language and culture at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
