The seminar was a follow-up event to the opening ceremony of the 2018-2019 academic year. This was a new feature in the school's early-year activities, organizing a conversation with successful entrepreneurs to inspire students in their studies, creativity, and career development.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Viet is known for his participation as an investor in the startup reality show "Shark Tank: Billion Dollar Deals" on Vietnam Television. He is also the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Intracom, a company operating in the fields of real estate, hydropower, finance, construction, building materials manufacturing, and healthcare.

Sharing his thoughts with the first-year students, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Viet advised them not to rest on their laurels: "We have succeeded in overcoming a competition ratio of 1 in over 20 to get into this school, and we have every right to be proud of that. But we still have many goals to strive for."
"Dreams and knowledge are valuable assets for young people," emphasized the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Intracom. He advised students to continuously learn from the smallest things to build a solid foundation of knowledge, which will then enable them to achieve higher goals in life. Knowledge here is not limited to textbooks but includes understanding of society, knowledge of various fields outside of their training, life skills, etc. At the same time, students need to know how to apply the knowledge they have learned to real-world situations.

“You should dedicate time to studying and working, ideally in your trained field, but if not, you can work in another field. Learn from your part-time jobs. During your time as a student, the goal of part-time work shouldn't be just to earn money, but to gain experience. Many students graduate without strong professional skills, making it difficult to find jobs or leading to workplace accidents. Therefore, you must learn and gain experience while still in school,” Mr. Viet shared.

In addition, he also suggested that students need to cultivate critical thinking skills, learn to delve deeper and re-examine issues so as not to be misled by false information.
Another important thing is self-confidence and unwavering determination. Nothing is easy, so each person needs to equip themselves with knowledge and strong character to face life's disappointments, transforming difficulties into motivation to move forward.

The seminar was lively, with many questions from the students. In response to a question about the qualities and skills employers look for in candidates, Mr. Viet stated that it is empathy. Lack of experience is unavoidable, however, there needs to be mutual understanding and empathy between employees and leaders to work towards a common goal.
Sharing his experience in entrepreneurship, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Viet advised young people not to immediately think of overly grand ideas, but rather to grasp consumer needs, starting with products that are lacking in the market.
