During the past four days from July 23 to 26, the Youth of Humanities has accompanied the “Forever 20” fund under the Hanoi People’s Committee in the meaningful program “Returning to Khe Sanh – once famous” to commemorate the 69th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 – July 27, 2016).

As an annual activity, as usual every year on the occasion of July 27, members of the "Forever 20" fund organize trips to revisit old battlefields across the country with meaningful activities to pay tribute and commemorate the heroic martyrs who sacrificed for the country, visit and give gifts to the families of martyrs, policy households,...

This trip was attended by Lieutenant General Doan Sinh Huong - Doctor of Military Science, former Commander of Military Region 4, Hero of the People's Armed Forces, Chairman of the Forever 20 Fund, Ms. Tran Hong Dung - Vice Chairman of the Forever 20 Fund, and other veterans who are members of the fund.

This year, the Youth Union of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities - Vietnam National University, Hanoi, led by Dr. Tran Bach Hieu - Deputy Secretary of the Youth Union of Vietnam National University, Hanoi, Secretary of the Youth Union of the University, is very honored and proud to continue to accompany the "Forever 20" fund on the trip to Quang Tri: "Returning to Khe Sanh - once famous", revisiting the land where many heroic martyrs sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the nation, for the eternal existence of the fatherland to demonstrate the precious tradition of the nation "Drinking water, remember the source", "Eating fruit, remember the person who planted the tree".

The delegation visited and presented gifts to families of martyrs and families of beneficiaries of social welfare in Gio Mai commune, Gio Linh district, Quang Tri province.

Youth of Humanities visited Mrs. Truong Thi Van, wife of martyr Bui Quoc Viet in Huong Phung commune, Huong Hoa district, Quang Tri province.

This is the second year that the Youth of Humanities has accompanied the Forever 20 Fund in trips to pay tribute to heroic martyrs and to do meaningful volunteer work. Every year, the enthusiasm, dynamism and creativity of the school's youth have made the uncles and aunts in the Forever 20 Fund have deep sympathy. Ms. Tran Hong Dung - Vice President of the Forever 20 Fund emotionally shared: “In each of the fund's trips, there are always representatives of the younger generations, especially university students. But for the past 2 years, students from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities have participated in the fund and have left a deep impression on the fund with the extremely humane actions that you have done and demonstrated throughout the journey. We thank you, the students of Humanities, for participating in the Forever 20 Fund. You have shown us a spirit of youth volunteers full of creativity, enthusiasm and dedication. Representing the school's youth, Dr. Tran Bach Hieu - Deputy Secretary of the Youth Union of Hanoi National University - Secretary of the Youth Union of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities shared: “This is an extremely meaningful trip for the students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. Being able to accompany the veterans on the immortal path of the heroic land of the North Central region - where tens of thousands of heroes and martyrs have fallen - is truly an honor, an unforgettable memory for the youth of Humanities. The past four days were a time when each member of the trip felt the affection of those who are still alive and those who have passed away, of the two worlds of life and death, of immortal sincerity. The students have truly learned many lessons, have truly been inspired, truly awakened by the silent work of the veterans - Uncle Ho's soldiers. I believe that the young people will follow the heroic and indomitable spirit of generations of fathers and brothers, firmly believe in life, strive to study, work hard, and be a good person. be active, strive, and devote yourself to the beloved, independent, and free fatherland, to a prosperous country, to a prosperous and happy people, and to live a life truly worthy of the sacrifices of previous generations.”
