The President visited some universities in Yunnan and Chengdu (China)

At Yunnan University (China), leaders of the two sides agreed to continue sending Vietnamese language students from Yunnan University to study Vietnamese at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in the next academic year; invite Vietnamese language teachers to teach graduate students there; and strengthen scientific research cooperation on international relations with the Myanmar Research Institute of Yunnan University.

At Southwest Forestry University (China), the school's leaders said they will continue to send Vietnamese language students to study in Vietnam, send students to the University of Social Sciences and Humanities for graduate studies; and plan to organize summer exchange groups between the two universities.

At Yunnan University for Nationalities, the leaders of the two schools agreed on a number of cooperation directions: training source cadres for ethnic minority regions (with the Academy of Ethnic Cadres); the University of Social Sciences and Humanities supports the compilation of textbooks, assessment and evaluation of Vietnamese language proficiency for partners; organizing seminars on cross-border culture and education; establishing strong research groups to jointly research topics on ethnic minority languages ​​and cultures.

At Chengdu Academy, the cooperation contents between the two schools were proposed: continue to coordinate the training of bachelors in Vietnamese language; receive university graduates to study in Vietnam for postgraduate studies; establish a Vietnam - China cultural exchange center; organize more internship programs, summer school and summer camp for students majoring in Chinese studies.
