The President visited some universities in Yunnan and Chengdu (China)

At Yunnan University (China), the leaders of the two sides agreed to continue sending Vietnamese language majors from Yunnan University to study Vietnamese at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in the next academic year; invite Vietnamese language teachers to teach graduate students there; and strengthen scientific research cooperation on international relations with the Institute of Myanmar Studies of Yunnan University.

At Southwest Forestry University (China), the school's leaders said they will continue to send Vietnamese language students to Vietnam to study, send students to the University of Social Sciences and Humanities to study for master's degrees; and plan to organize summer exchange groups between the two universities.

At Yunnan University for Nationalities, the leaders of the two schools agreed on a number of cooperation directions: training source cadres for ethnic minority regions (with the Academy of Ethnic Cadres); the University of Social Sciences and Humanities supports the compilation of textbooks, assessment and evaluation of Vietnamese language proficiency for partners; organizes seminars on cross-border culture and education; establishes strong research groups to jointly study topics on ethnic minority languages ​​and cultures.

At Chengdu Academy, the cooperation contents between the two schools were proposed: continuing to coordinate the training of bachelors in Vietnamese language; receiving university graduates to study in Vietnam for postgraduate studies; establishing a Vietnam - China cultural exchange center; organizing more internship programs, summer school and summer camps for students majoring in Chinese studies.
