Principal Pham Quang Minh received a delegation from the Department of Education of Guangxi Province (China).

The delegation of the Guangxi Provincial Department of Education includes representatives of leaders of 21 Chinese universities, including many large universities such as Guangxi University, Guangxi Nationalities University, Guilin University of Science and Technology and Electronics, Guangxi University of Technology, Guangxi Academy of Finance and Economics, etc.

Rector Pham Quang Minh briefly introduced the University in the main areas of research, training and international cooperation. The Rector also said that Chinese universities are long-standing traditional partners of the University with main cooperation activities such as: coordinating training in 2+2 programs in Journalism, Tourism, Public Administration with Guangxi University; training students majoring in Vietnamese according to the 2+2 and 3+1 programs with Guangxi Nationalities University, Guangxi Academy of Finance and Economics, Bach Sac Academy...; successfully coordinating to organize many international conferences; exchanging lecturers...

Vietnamese language training for Chinese students began in the 1960s. Up to now, the school has had cooperative relationships with over 50 Chinese universities, including 17 universities in Guangxi province. The school is currently training nearly 400 Chinese international students from short-term to master's and doctoral programs. Chinese students come to study mainly in the fields of Vietnamese language and culture. Up to now, more than 100 Vietnamese students have participated in joint training programs with the Chinese side. This cooperative relationship has great potential for further development in the future.

Mr. Duong Lam said: The University of Social Sciences and Humanities is the leading university in training and researching social sciences and humanities in Vietnam and is very famous among universities in China. The leaders of the Guangxi Provincial Department of Education will continue to encourage lecturers, students and trainees to study in Vietnam and especially at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. Cooperation between the University and universities in Guangxi needs to be further promoted.

Leaders of each Chinese university introduced their units and expressed their desire to build a number of new cooperation programs based on the strengths and common interests of both sides.

The delegation's visit and work at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities is within the framework of the Guangxi education exhibition in Vietnam.
