Visiting and giving gifts to wounded and sick soldiers on July 27th.

On the morning of July 25th, the Trade Union of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, visited and presented gifts to wounded and sick soldiers at the Nho Quan Rehabilitation Center for Wounded Soldiers in Ninh Binh.

This is an annual activity of the School, in keeping with the nationwide commemoration of the 69th anniversary of the Day of War Invalids and Martyrs (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2016), aiming to express the gratitude of the younger generation to the previous generations who sacrificed their lives and youth for the revolutionary cause and national independence.

Speaking at the visit and gift-giving ceremony, Associate Professor Pham Quang Minh – the Rector of the University – on behalf of all staff, lecturers, and students, expressed deep gratitude to the families of martyrs and wounded soldiers who sacrificed themselves for the peace of the country. He also expressed the younger generation's shared grief over the pain and loss from the war that still lingers in the hearts of these soldiers.

Comrade Pham Quang Minh also acknowledged the contributions of the center's staff, who continue to silently care for and nurse the wounded and sick soldiers. The school suggested that experts and staff from the Psychology and Social Work departments of the school could participate in training the center's staff on foreign knowledge to better serve the nursing care of wounded and sick soldiers. In addition, the school could organize volunteer student groups to provide additional spiritual support for the wounded and sick soldiers at the center.

The delegation of trade union officials took a commemorative photo with representatives of war invalids and the management staff of the Nho Quan War Invalids Rehabilitation Center in Ninh Binh.

The delegation from the School's Trade Union also visited, chatted with, and listened to the wounded soldiers receiving treatment at the Center, encouraging them to uphold the spirit of Uncle Ho's soldiers in fighting against their illnesses.

The director of the Nho Quan War Invalids Rehabilitation Center, Comrade Lam Quang Dao, expressed his gratitude for the school's attention and hoped to receive assistance to improve the quality of service and care for war invalids and sick soldiers.
