The Principal received Prof. Dr. Danny Wong (University of Malaya, Malaysia)

On April 2, 2018, Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh (Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities) received and worked with Prof. Dr. Danny Wong (Director of the Center for Global Strategy & Planning, University of Malaya, Malaysia) to discuss the development programs of the two schools in the coming time.

At the meeting, Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh highly appreciated the visit of Prof. Dr. Danny Wong. University of Malaya is a traditional and long-standing partner of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. The two professors discussed the policy of building the University into a research university, the method of evaluating scientific journals according to ISI standards, and the experience of building a set of criteria for the work efficiency of staff and lecturers (KPI - Key Performance Indicators).

Rector Pham Quang Minh shared about research promotion activities at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities such as writing skills courses, scientific research methods and seminars in many fields. From the sharing of Prof. Dr. Danny Wong about the research programs being conducted by the University of Malaya, Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh invited to carry out joint projects at the University. Prof. Danny Wong also proposed organizing training courses so that both sides can share experiences directly and effectively.

The University of Malaya was established on 28 September 1905, located in the southwest of the capital city of Kuala Lumpur. It is the oldest university in Malaysia, ranked 46th in Asia and 4th in Malaysia. The University of Malaya offers a wide range of programmes from diploma to undergraduate, masters and doctoral degrees in many fields.
