Launching ceremony of the 2018 "Student Ambassador" program

This year's "Student Ambassador" program was launched with the official participation of 206 volunteers selected from the University's majors. The 206 volunteers come from 14 provinces/cities in the Northern and North Central regions including: Bac Giang, Bac Ninh, Ha Nam, Ha Tinh, Hai Duong, Hai Phong, Hung Yen, Nam Dinh, Nghe An, Phu Tho, Quang Ninh, Thai Nguyen, Thanh Hoa and Vinh Phuc.

2018 is the fifth year the program has been implemented with the support of three sponsors: Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development (BIDV) Thanh Xuan Branch, Long Duong Technology and Trading Joint Stock Company, and S-COM Technology Joint Stock Company.

At the launching ceremony, the representative of the Executive Board of “Student Ambassadors” presented the implementation plan. Accordingly, this year’s program will be deployed to nearly 140 high schools in the area with the following forms through the volunteer team:

- Distribute admission information leaflets in classrooms, post posters on bulletin boards, and set up counseling desks at high schools.

- Coordinate with high schools to implement direct counseling activities for students.

- Online consultation for students on admission registration, answering questions about majors and other support.

Along with the sponsorship of the units, this year's "Student Ambassador" program continues to focus on visual communication for activities and images for volunteers through products such as: uniforms, badges, representative images of volunteers on the available Frame of the Facebook social networking application.

The "Student Ambassadors" do not stop at going to high schools to introduce and answer questions about the school's admission information. After the official admission results are available, the volunteers will contact high schools to receive the list of students admitted to the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and carry out support work for new students such as: Admission support, accommodation support.

Speaking to the students, Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh praised and acknowledged the volunteers' willingness, and expressed his wish for the effectiveness of the program. Each volunteer will become a bridge between the school and the students - the candidates who will take the exam this year.

Following the opinion of Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh, Dr. Nguyen Quang Lieu also expressed his trust and emphasized the role and responsibility of volunteers for the school's admissions consulting activities, for the high schools they attended, and for their hometown where they were born and raised.

Nguyen Xuan Quang (Captain of the "Student Ambassador" Team of Phu Tho Province) gave a speech accepting the assignment and pledged to work with other volunteers to excellently fulfill their role.

In the presence of the Principal, 206 volunteers shouted slogans to demonstrate their spirit and determination to complete their mission before setting out.

Right after the Launching Ceremony, the teams started to carry out their missions. With a strong desire to inspire and full of youthful enthusiasm, we completely trust and place our faith in the 2018 “Student Ambassadors”.
