After 3 days of exciting activities, on the afternoon of March 17, the 2019 National Press Conference with the theme "Vietnamese press is innovative, creative and responsible for the benefit of the country and people." was solemnly closed at Hanoi Museum.

According to the latest statistics, Vietnam currently has about 19,000 journalists with Journalist cards; the number of members of the Journalists Association is 23,893. The country has 844 print press agencies with 184 print newspapers, 660 magazines and 24 independent electronic press agencies, 67 radio and television stations, 35 businesses providing paid radio and television services...

The National Press Festival is a unique professional and cultural gathering, the largest annual cultural press event of the country's press, not only honoring the contributions of press agencies and Vietnamese journalists, but also enhancing exchanges and ties between journalists and the public, between press agencies and journalism training institutions...

Associate Professor, Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong received the award for outstanding scientific research work.

The 2019 National Press Festival was held on a large scale, attracting the enthusiastic participation of nearly 200 press agencies and units, gathering thousands of Tet and Spring press publications, hundreds of special Tet television programs, beautiful electronic newspaper interfaces and more than 300 excellent reportage works on the topic of environment and climate change, more than 80 scientific works, articles and journalism skills participating in the award.

For many years, the Institute of Journalism and Communication (University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU) has been one of the units actively participating in the activities of the National Press Festival, as well as the activities of the Journalists Association and the press in general.
