During the meeting, Associate Professor Hoang Anh Tuan introduced the University of Social Sciences and Humanities – a leading institution for research and training in social sciences and humanities in Vietnam. The university currently offers 34 undergraduate programs and 73 postgraduate programs, spanning basic sciences such as Philosophy, History, Literature, and Linguistics, as well as applied sciences such as Management Science, Tourism Studies, Social Work, Journalism, and Public Relations. The Vice Rector expressed his hope that the two universities would soon collaborate on activities such as student and faculty exchanges, joint research projects, and co-organizing international conferences.
On behalf of the visiting delegation, Professor Yvonne van der Meijs expressed her gratitude for the warm welcome from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. She stated that HAN University of Applied Sciences always facilitates opportunities for students to study and intern abroad for at least one semester. Previously, HAN often sent students to intern at social and community organizations and centers in Vietnam. With the desire to enhance students' foundational knowledge and practical experience, the visiting delegation is exploring opportunities for student exchange programs with higher education institutions in Vietnam, such as the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.

Associate Professor Hoang Anh Tuan presents a commemorative gift to Professor Yvonne van der Meijs.
Associate Professor Hoang Anh Tuan highly appreciated the trust that HAN has placed in the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. The University is ready to welcome Dutch students to study and intern, especially in highly applied majors such as Hotel Management, Event Management, Journalism-Communication, and Social Work. Initially, the University will inform each training unit about the possibilities of cooperation with HAN. The Vice Rector also proposed signing a formal bilateral cooperation agreement to serve as a framework for more specific activities.

HAN University of Applied Sciences was established in 1996 through a partnership with several other universities. HAN has two campuses in Arnhem and Nijmegen: the Arnhem campus primarily focuses on economics and technology, while the Nijmegen campus offers programs in healthcare, sports, social and behavioral sciences, and education. HAN has over 35,000 students and four faculties: the Faculty of Business Administration and Law, the Faculty of Health and Sociology, the Faculty of Engineering, and the Faculty of Education.
