Receiving a delegation from Greifswald University (Germany)

At the meeting, Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh briefly introduced the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, a leading training address for Social Sciences and Humanities in Vietnam. The Rector emphasized the internationalization strategy that the University is implementing, including promoting relations with international partners. For Greifswald University, the University hopes to continue to welcome visiting lecturers within the framework of the Eramus+ Lecturer Exchange Program of the European Union.

In response, Dr. Hasmik Hunayan, on behalf of the University of Greifswald, thanked the University of Social Sciences and Humanities for its warm welcome. She said that in addition to sending visiting lecturers, the University of Greifswald is willing to receive and partially sponsor Vietnamese students to study and research in Germany. She also invited Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh and the University staff to visit the University of Greifswald campus this summer.

Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh happily accepted the invitation from Dr. Hasmik Hunayan. The Rector also invited Greifswald University staff to participate in two events that the University co-organized in 2019. These were the Workshop on Regional Security in the Baltic Sea and the East Sea of ​​Vietnam in April, and the Meeting of DADD alumni in Vietnam in November. These two events also had the participation of a number of scholars and researchers from Greifswald University. In addition, the University also opened its doors to welcome students from the host country to study, research, participate in summer courses, and extracurricular student clubs.

The University of Greifswald was founded in 1456 and is one of the oldest educational institutions in Europe. Priority research directions here are related to life sciences, physics, law, economics... The University of Greifswald has nearly 11,000 students and 5 affiliated faculties: Faculty of Theology, Faculty of Law and Economics, Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Philosophy and Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences.
