Opening ceremony of the exchange program with students from Beijing Normal University (China)

During their study abroad period, Chinese students will visit several famous tourist and cultural sites in Vietnam and participate in interactive activities with Vietnamese students. They will also learn about Vietnamese culture, history, and society through a series of lectures given by leading professors from the university. The course will be conducted in English.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Professor Pham Quang Minh (Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities) expressed his honor in welcoming the delegation of teachers and students from Beijing Normal University; and thanked the Global Education Network for co-organizing the series of exchange events between Vietnamese and Chinese students in the past period. The Rector also stated that, through bilateral exchanges, the young generation of Vietnam and China today has the mission to enhance understanding and strengthen friendship between the two nations, which share many similarities. The Rector wished the Chinese students memorable experiences during their field trip and research in Vietnam.

This is the third time the University of Social Sciences and Humanities has welcomed and designed specialized courses for Chinese students. In August 2017, within the framework of the "Belt and Road Initiative" field survey program, the University welcomed students from Renmin University of China, Beijing Normal University, and Jiangsu Normal University (China) for exchange and study. In November 2017, the University continued to welcome a group of students from Guangzhou University (China). After each course, the Chinese students were awarded certificates of completion.
