The delegation was welcomed by current and former leaders of the Party Committee and People's Committee of Duy Tien District, Ha Nam Province, along with the entire board of directors, medical staff, and employees of the Center. Particularly moving was the presence of nearly 50 wounded soldiers currently receiving treatment there. Even the severely wounded, confined to wheelchairs, still radiated the spirit of the soldiers of Uncle Ho's army from the past, their uniforms, demeanor, and even their appearance.

The Duy Tien War Invalids Rehabilitation Center is currently caring for 70 severely wounded and disabled war veterans with a disability rate of 81% or higher.

Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Kim (Secretary of the Party Committee, Vice Rector of the University) delivered a speech.
Representing the delegation from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Professor Nguyen Van Kim emotionally expressed his gratitude to the wounded soldiers and the entire staff of doctors and nurses working at the Center. Overcoming all difficulties and challenges, the Center has fulfilled the mission entrusted by the Party, the State, and the people. Today, although the war is long over, countless sacrifices, injuries, and losses, both physical and mental, remain present in every soldier, every family, and every region of this country. But the image of these wounded soldiers, always optimistic, overcoming their injuries, continuing to live and contribute, worthy of the title of "Uncle Ho's Soldiers" in any circumstances, is an encouragement and inspiration for the younger generation, motivating the spirit and will of the nation to strive forward. With over 70 years of tradition, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities is a leading institution in education, scientific research, and the "putting aside pens to go to war" movement. Generations of faculty and students have immersed themselves in a time of "fire and glory," joining the nation in achieving national independence and reunification. Many faculty and students of the University have made heroic sacrifices, while many others have returned to continue the cause of education and scientific research. The University also welcomes many veterans from various battlefields to work there. The University's Veterans Association currently has nearly 38 members, actively participating and having a profound influence on the political and ideological life of the University. This further enhances the significance of the activities of gratitude and remembrance of the past by the faculty and students of the University. Professor Nguyen Van Kim shared: “Generations of faculty and staff of the University have always reminded themselves, as well as educated generations of students and trainees, to continue the tradition of responsibility towards the country and the cause of protecting national sovereignty and independence.” This is the 5th time the University of Social Sciences and Humanities has visited the Duy Tien War Invalids Rehabilitation Center in Ha Nam.
