According to this agreement, the Youth Union of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, is the co-organizer of the program "Returning to the Roots - Experiencing Hanoi's Intangible Cultural Heritage" with the Hanoi City Cultural Center. The contact point and program implementation will be the Cultural and Historical Propaganda Club (under the University's Youth Union).
The two units will collaborate to organize a series of five experiential programs focusing on heritage sites: Bong Drum Dance (Trieu Khuc village, Tan Trieu commune, Thanh Tri district); Van Singing (Truc Bach ward, Ba Dinh district); Ca Tru Singing (Chanh Thon village, Van Nhan commune, Phu Xuyen district); Cheo Singing and Xam Singing (O Cho Dua ward, Dong Da district). Both sides will research and discuss with artisans and researchers to develop appropriate program content; and select groups of participants to learn about and explore these heritage sites.
At the end of the learning period, the participating groups proactively organized rehearsals to perform an art show, bringing the value of these intangible cultural heritages to the public.
Speaking at the ceremony, Professor Pham Quang Minh (Rector of the University) affirmed: This is an extremely meaningful activity. Through these activities, young people can learn a lot of knowledge about the culture, history, and traditional art of the nation.
