Established in 1983, the Vietnam Catholic Solidarity Committee is a social organization of Vietnamese Catholics who "Respect God - Love the Country," and is a member of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
The establishment and development of the Vietnam Catholic Solidarity Committee is an inevitable consequence of the political and social life in our country; it reflects the motto "Good faith, beautiful life" of people with religions and beliefs in general, and of Catholics in particular, within the Vietnamese nation.

However, in reality, the Vietnam Catholic Solidarity Committee still faces many difficulties and obstacles in its organizational development and operations. Researchers, scientists, state administrators, and religious practitioners need to reach a consensus on these issues to propose solutions. The presentations at the conference aim to propose solutions to enable the Vietnam Catholic Solidarity Committee to further strengthen its role and position in building close ties between religion and secular life, contributing to the cultivation of national unity.
Participating in the workshop were scientists from the Department of Religious Studies, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, who were responsible for conducting a sociological survey on the practical aspects of the Vietnamese Catholic Solidarity Committee's participation in social work, as comparative data for the issues discussed at the workshop. Simultaneously, experts in Religious Studies from the University participated in editing the professional content of the presentations, selecting and proposing topics for discussion at the workshop.
