A memorandum of cooperation between the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and Daegu University (South Korea) was signed on November 12, 2012.The main content of the memorandum of cooperation between the two sides is: exchange of lecturers, researchers, interns, short-term studies, undergraduate and postgraduate programs. Regarding academic research, both sides will jointly organize scientific seminars, share materials, and exchange scientific research information. In addition, to further promote the relationship of exchange and cooperation and enhance mutual understanding, both sides agreed to send delegations on a non-periodic basis for visits and work. This agreement has a term of 5 years. Representatives from both universities expressed their desire to further expand cooperation in many areas in the future. In particular, Professor Byung Ouk So expressed his wish for the two sides to jointly organize short-term courses on Vietnamese language and Vietnamese studies at Daegu University in the future.

Daegu University has been established for 95 years. It is renowned for its academic programs in: Languages, Law, Business Administration, Information Technology, Engineering, Public Relations, Arts and Design, Education, and Healthcare. In 2010, the university was ranked among the top 11 universities in South Korea for educational quality. Currently, the university has a total of 600 professors and 15,000 students across all programs. Notably, the university offers numerous scholarship programs for international students.
