Strengthening cooperation with Shanghai University

On August 20, 2012, Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh - Rector of the University, along with Dr. Nguyen Thi Thanh Huyen - Vice Dean of the Faculty of Journalism and Communication, and Dr. Nghiem Thuy Hang - Deputy Director of the Center for Chinese Studies, received and worked with a delegation from Shanghai University led by Professor Yao Xi Ming - Director of the Institute for International Exchange (Shanghai University - China), who was visiting the University.
On August 20, 2012, Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh - Rector of the University, along with Dr. Nguyen Thi Thanh Huyen - Vice Dean of the Faculty of Journalism and Communication, and Dr. Nghiem Thuy Hang - Deputy Director of the Center for Chinese Studies, received and worked with a delegation from Shanghai University led by Professor Yao Xi Ming - Director of the Institute for International Exchange (Shanghai University - China), who was visiting the University.Speaking at the meeting, Professor Nguyen Van Khanh stated that, to date, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities has trained over 5,000 foreign students, notably including 7 who have become ambassadors to Vietnam. The Rector emphasized that the University of Social Sciences and Humanities highly values ​​its cooperative relationship with Shanghai University, hoping that in the future the two universities can sign an international cooperation agreement on journalism and communication training. The Rector also expressed his hope that the cooperative relationship between the two universities will see new developments in the future, such as increased cooperation in faculty and student exchange, and joint scientific research. Professor Yao Xi Ming agreed with the proposals for cooperation between the two universities and expressed his desire to expand the cooperative relationship further. He affirmed that the opportunities for cooperation in training in various disciplines, especially journalism and communication, between the two universities are immense. The Shanghai University Academy of Cinematic Arts offers majors in film and journalism/media, which are key fields in Shanghai and boast a high graduate employment rate. Shanghai University has a history of over 90 years of development, offering programs in natural sciences, social sciences, history, law, economics, and more. In the ranking of universities in China, Shanghai University is ranked 40th. Professor Yao Xi Ming hopes that in the future, the two universities will further promote cooperation and exchange in cultural and educational development.
