Attending the meeting were representatives of the Center for Education Quality Assurance, the Faculty of Library Information, the Faculty of Sociology, the Faculty of Psychology and the Faculty of International Studies.
At the meeting, Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Thi Minh Hoa emphasized the importance of training quality assessment as a solution to improve training quality. As a leading unit in VNU in this work, up to now, the University has implemented assessment according to AUN standards for training programs in Oriental Studies, Linguistics, Literature and Philosophy with positive results. Many training programs in other fields have implemented peer assessment such as Journalism, Anthropology, Political Science, etc. The assessment results and suggestions from assessment experts have helped the University review its strengths and limitations in order to make appropriate adjustments.

Because the accreditation work requires quite elaborate preparation and dedication from the units, Vice Principal Tran Thi Minh Hoa requested that the units need to be united, understand and support the school's policy. If there are difficulties, the units also need to proactively share so that the school, specifically the Center for Education Quality Assurance, can have a support plan.
This year, it is expected that four training programs will be accredited, of which the training programs in Sociology and Psychology will be accredited according to AUN standards in November 2018; the training program in International Studies will be accredited according to the standards of the Ministry of Education and Training; the training program in Information Technology will be assessed for quality according to AUN standards.

It is expected that in March 2018, the School will organize training for the above units on the work of building self-assessment reports and how to work with survey teams. By April 2018, the units will deploy writing reports and finding evidence. The Center for Education Quality Assurance will advise and make specific plans for the School on these activities and will notify the units to coordinate implementation.
Representatives of the faculties also requested the School to re-inform the assessment results of previous training programs, summarize the problems that units often encounter in the process of building self-assessment reports to gain experience, and provide specific and timely instructions to units...
