Rector Pham Quang Minh receives the Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Vietnam.

During the meeting, Professor Pham Quang Minh briefly introduced the history of training and research at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, highlighting its status as a leading institution in Vietnam for social sciences and humanities education. The university is pursuing an internationalization strategy, expanding friendly relations with foreign partners. Therefore, the university wishes to collaborate with universities and research and training institutions in Azerbaijan.

Ambassador Anar Lachin O Imanov stated that educational cooperation between Vietnam and Azerbaijan has a long history. Therefore, he expressed his desire to welcome officials and lecturers from Vietnam to visit and work at universities in Azerbaijan. He also expressed his willingness to send teachers from Azerbaijani universities to Vietnam to teach about Azerbaijan's country, culture, and language, with the aim of establishing an Azerbaijani studies program in Vietnam. Finally, Ambassador Anar Lachin O Imanov proposed organizing an Azerbaijani Culture Day at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in early March 2018.

Professor Pham Quang Minh welcomed the ideas of Ambassador Anar Lachin O Imanov and suggested that the two sides maintain regular contact and exchange more specific ideas in the future. The Cooperation and Development Department will be the school's point of contact.

Previously, on October 19, 2015, the Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Vietnam, Mr. Anar Imanov, met and interacted with faculty and students at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities to introduce Azerbaijan to the university.
