Celebrating the 85th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union.

Attending the ceremony were Prof. Dr. Vu Duc Nghieu, Vice Rector of the University; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Xuan Khang, Chairman of the University's Trade Union; former officials of the University's Trade Union; and a large number of trade union members from various units.

Dr. Nguyen Quang Lieu, Vice President of the University's Trade Union, delivered a speech commemorating the 85th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union.

At the commemoration ceremony, delegates reviewed the glorious revolutionary traditions of the Vietnam Trade Union. Over 85 years of development and growth, the Vietnam Trade Union has consistently operated in accordance with its principles and objectives, effectively fulfilling its role as a broad socio-political organization of the Vietnamese working class, making significant contributions to the cause of national construction and defense, especially during the current period of accelerated industrialization and modernization.

Professor Vu Duc Nghieu, Vice Rector of the University, presented gifts of gratitude to former members of the University's Trade Union Executive Committee.

During the celebration, the University's Trade Union also held a ceremony to summarize and award prizes for the "Vietnam Trade Union - 85 Years of Construction and Development" knowledge contest. The contest consisted of 10 questions, including 9 questions about the history of the Vietnam Trade Union and new regulations on trade union activities according to the 11th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union Charter. Question 10 was an open-ended question aimed at gathering contributions, initiatives, and solutions from staff and faculty to innovate trade union activities, thereby contributing to the innovation of education and training activities at the University in particular, and VNU in general. The contest attracted 360 staff and faculty members, with many practical contributions to the University's Trade Union activities.

Associate Professor Dr. Dang Xuan Khang, Chairman of the University's Trade Union, presented awards to the units that won collective awards.

Third Prize: Trade Union I, Trade Union II of the Administration Block

Honorable Mention: Trade Union of the Faculty of Journalism and Communication, Trade Union of the Faculty of Oriental Studies, Trade Union of the Faculty of Management Science, Trade Union III of the Rectorate Block.
