Promoting cooperation with Curtin University (Australia)

On August 4, 2014, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Kim (Vice Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities) met and worked with Professor Anna Parkin from the School of Humanities, Curtin University, Australia. Representatives from the International Cooperation and Training Office also participated in the meeting.

During the meeting, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Kim briefly introduced the history of training and research at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, highlighting its status as a leading institution for social sciences and humanities education in Vietnam. The university has hosted numerous foreign professors for research and teaching. He proposed the implementation of cooperation between the University and Curtin University.

Professor Anna Parkin highly appreciated the proposal and stated that Curtin University is also very keen to build cooperation with the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. Initially, the two sides will cooperate on the basis of exchanging training programs in the fields of International Relations, Management Science, and Tourism. Based on this, the two sides will sign a cooperation agreement and proceed with specific activities in the future.

Curtin is the largest and most multicultural university in Western Australia (WA), with over 50,000 students from more than 130 countries choosing to study at Curtin University across its four main faculties: Business, Science and Engineering, Health Sciences, and Humanities. Curtin has an international presence, with overseas campuses in Singapore, Sarawak (Malaysia), and Sydney.
