On the afternoon of August 22, the first class of students from the Department of Religious Studies, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi officially enrolled. It can be said that these are the most "special" students in this admission batch because they are the first students of this interesting major.

Right on the first day of school, new students had the opportunity to meet and chat intimately with lecturers who are leading researchers and teachers of religion. These lecturers have in-depth knowledge and attractive teaching methods.

Different from the serious atmosphere of the usual welcoming sessions, the teachers of the Religious Studies Department brought the new students an interesting meeting, with friendly sharing, answering questions, interspersed with cultural exchanges and small gifts such as bracelets from monks, calligraphy...

Sharing with the new students, the head of the department, Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Thi Kim Oanh said that religious studies is an attractive field of study, with practical applications and plays an important role in life. This field of study is not only theoretical but also very close to daily life.

She also said that career opportunities for Religious Studies students are very open, not only limited to research but also able to work in many different fields from teaching, culture, security... The lecturers of the department will also try to bring the best things to their students.

For new students, they also have many feelings before entering an important stage of life. Thuy Phuong, valedictorian of the Religious Studies department, said she chose this major because it is a truly attractive and important major and is taught in a leading academic environment in the country.

Thuy Phuong shared: "After talking with the teachers, I found this to be a practical, close to life and interesting subject. I hope to learn the best things during my 4 years of studying at this school and subject."

As for first-year student Duc Quang, studying at this top school has been a long-standing dream for him. He will try his best to pursue his passion. Studying with leading religious researchers is an honor and he hopes to gain many things in the near future.

With the dedication and profound knowledge of the teaching staff, we hope that the first students of the Religious Studies department will have a memorable and rewarding time at the School of Humanities.
