Right from the first day of enrollment, new students had the opportunity to meet and have friendly conversations with lecturers who are leading researchers and educators in religion. These lecturers possess in-depth knowledge and engaging teaching methods.

Unlike the usual formal atmosphere of student orientation sessions, the lecturers of the Religious Studies department provided the new students with a delightful meeting, filled with friendly sharing, answering questions, interspersed with cultural performances and small gifts such as Buddhist bracelets and calligraphy pieces.
Sharing with the new students, the head of the department, Associate Professor Dr. Tran Thi Kim Oanh, said that religious studies is a fascinating field of study with practical applications and plays an important role in life. This field of study is not only theoretical but also very close to everyday life.
She also stated that career opportunities for Religious Studies students are very broad, not limited to research but also extending to various fields such as teaching, culture, and security. The faculty members of the department will also strive to provide the best possible opportunities for their students.

For new students, there are many mixed feelings before entering an important stage of their lives. Thuy Phuong, the valedictorian of the Religious Studies department, said she chose this major because it is truly fascinating, important, and taught in a leading academic environment nationwide.
Thuy Phuong shared: "After talking with the teachers, I found this to be a practical, relevant, and interesting field of study. I hope to absorb the best things during my four years of study at this school and in this subject."
For first-year student Duc Quang, studying at this top university has long been a dream. He will strive to pursue his passion, considers it an honor to study with leading religious scholars, and hopes to achieve much in the coming time.
With the dedication and profound knowledge of the faculty, it is hoped that the first cohort of students in the Religious Studies department will have a memorable and enriching time at the University of Humanities.
