Welcome K61 Vietnamese Studies

This year, the Faculty of Vietnamese Studies and Vietnamese Language welcomes 64 students, all of whom are first-choice students, with a test score of 82.5 or higher. In addition to Vietnamese students, the Faculty also has 10 international students enrolling this year. In addition, the Faculty plans to welcome about 15 second-year graduate students, bringing the total number of graduate students to 35, of which about 50% are international students from countries such as Russia, Korea, Japan, China, Thailand, etc. This is a good sign for a relatively new field of study like Vietnamese Studies. That partly reflects the efforts of the School and the Faculty of Vietnamese Studies and Vietnamese Language over the years to provide the best possible learning conditions for students.

At the beginning of the ceremony to welcome K61, the Dean - Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thien Nam gave an overview of the development process and basic achievements of the Faculty of Vietnamese Studies and Vietnamese Language. Surely many young people were surprised by the long history of the place they chose to study. The more than half-century journey of excitement and many changes, the constant expansion of the Faculty has inspired new students with many different development orientations in the future.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Phuc - Deputy Head of the Faculty in charge of training - provided students with some basic knowledge about the curriculum, scholarship sources, rights and obligations of students. Experienced teachers also gave many useful advices and encouraged and motivated students to be steadfast and independent in their studies. Not only did they understand more about the Faculty, during the meeting, K61 also got to know each other, introduced themselves and expressed themselves. Just entering the lecture hall, there were many shy and awkward moments, but from those faces, the energy of youth radiated. In particular, the presence of international students brought a unique and special atmosphere to the Faculty of Vietnamese Studies and Vietnamese Language..

The welcoming ceremony for new students is always one of the most important moments of the Faculty of Vietnamese Studies and Vietnamese Language with so much excitement, anxiety, anticipation and hope. The high admission results, combined with the feelings from meeting the students directly, allow the Faculty to believe that this will continue to be another class of students with good qualities and a bright future. At the end of the program, the 8 students with the highest entrance scores were awarded. Although it was just a small gift, it was also the first commitment of the utmost care that the Faculty of Vietnamese Studies and Vietnamese Language gives to the students.
