This year, the Faculty of Vietnamese Studies and Vietnamese Language welcomed 64 students, all first-choice applicants with aptitude test scores of 82.5 or higher. In addition to Vietnamese students, the Faculty also has 10 international students enrolling this year. Furthermore, the Faculty plans to welcome approximately 15 second-year postgraduate students, bringing the total number of postgraduate students to 35, of which about 50% are international students from countries such as Russia, South Korea, Japan, China, and Thailand. This is a positive sign for a relatively new field of study like Vietnamese Studies. It partly reflects the efforts of the University and the Faculty of Vietnamese Studies and Vietnamese Language over the years to provide the best possible learning environment for students.

Opening the welcoming ceremony for the K61 cohort, the Dean, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thien Nam, gave a brief overview of the development and basic achievements of the Faculty of Vietnamese Studies and Vietnamese Language. Many young people were undoubtedly surprised by the rich history of their chosen institution. The Faculty's vibrant and ever-evolving journey of over half a century has inspired new students with diverse career paths for the future.

Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Phuc - Vice Head of the Faculty in charge of training - provided students with some basic knowledge about the curriculum, scholarship sources, rights and obligations of students. Experienced lecturers also offered many useful pieces of advice and encouragement to help students become confident and independent in their studies. Not only did the K61 students gain a better understanding of the Faculty, but during the meeting, they also got to know each other, introduce themselves, and showcase their talents. Although still somewhat shy and hesitant upon entering the lecture halls, their faces radiated the vibrant energy of youth. In particular, the presence of international students brought a unique and special atmosphere to the Faculty of Vietnamese Studies and Vietnamese Language..

The freshman welcoming ceremony is always one of the most important moments for the Faculty of Vietnamese Studies and Vietnamese Language, filled with excitement, anxiety, anticipation, and hope. The high entrance exam results, coupled with the positive impressions gained from meeting the students in person, allow the Faculty to believe that this will be another cohort of students with excellent qualities and a bright future. At the end of the program, the eight students with the highest entrance exam scores were awarded prizes. Although it was just a small gift, it was the first commitment to providing the utmost care and attention that the Faculty of Vietnamese Studies and Vietnamese Language dedicates to its students.
