At the reception, Associate Professor Dr. Pham Quang Minh (Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities) reviewed the main cooperation between the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and the KAS Institute in many fields of academics, education, culture, etc. In the field of research, the two sides have co-organized many important international scientific conferences such as "Vietnam joins the WTO: Social capital - human resource development" in November 2006, "Economic journalism model in Vietnam and Germany: the appearance of economic information in the press and media" in May 2013, "Information source management and information providers in the digital age" in March 2014, etc.
According to Associate Professor Dr. Pham Quang Minh, the above cooperation has shown that KAS is one of the long-term and reliable partners of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. The Rector hopes that in the future, he will continue to receive the Institute's support in areas such as lecturer exchange, organizing seminars, and establishing a WTO center at the University. In the cooperation in organizing seminars, some priority topics are internet security and its implications for Vietnam, environmental security, constructive government and national unity, etc.
Mr. Peter Girke highly appreciated the above proposals and said that KAS Institute wishes to expand cooperation with the University in the above mentioned areas. KAS Institute is very interested in investing in education and is ready to help and create conditions for the University in the future. These will be the driving forces to promote the relationship between the two sides in particular and the relationship between Germany and Vietnam in general.
