"For me, the first impression when I entered the school gate was that the school was really magnificent. Unlike other schools, the paint color of the classrooms in the school is mostly a bright yellow, and the outside campus is very beautiful. If I had known in advance, I would have worn a yellow dress to stand out. My father took me to school so I didn't feel worried or confused," shared Nguyen Minh Van, a new student majoring in Public Relations.

Unlike Van, Minh Thu, who went to the university alone, had a different feeling about the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. "Having to go to the university alone made me feel a bit strange at first, but I found the admission ceremony really fun. Today I also met and got to know quite a few friends."

Unable to hide the joy of becoming a student, the first feeling when setting foot in the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Pham Thu Hong, a new student of K60, Faculty of Journalism and Communication, shared her feelings: "On the first day, I arrived early, the feeling at first was really nervous and shaky. After many days of dreaming, I have officially become a new student of the University. Now I feel much happier and relieved, while some of my friends are worried about registering for school, I have officially become a new student".

Minh Thu, a new student of the K60 class, is equally excited: “I am very happy because as soon as I arrived at the school, I received a lot of support from my seniors. This good impression will certainly be a beautiful memory, and also a motivation for me to strive in my university years. Hopefully next year I will be able to participate in welcoming and guiding the juniors.”

Feelings about the majors

The Faculty of Journalism and Communication of the University has been a reliable address for young people who love journalism to choose for many years. Tran Thu Phuong (in Hanoi) enrolled in the Journalism major. When asked why she chose Journalism at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, she said: “I know many people who have studied at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, and know that the environment of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities is exemplary, disciplined, but also very friendly. Since I was young, I have been passionate about “traveling”, so I decided to choose the Faculty of Journalism and Communication of the University. The Faculty of Journalism and Communication is considered a dynamic faculty, and the seniors are all very friendly. I had trouble sleeping last night, but now I am very nervous and excited. I hope I will be able to accompany the volunteer students, become a good student, and practice journalism well.”

Meanwhile, Ha Thi Diu, although living in Son La, still traveled to Hanoi to study at the school's Faculty of Anthropology. Diu shared: "I like studying humans. I want to do something related to humans, and I really want to know how I came into existence in terms of evolution. This is my first time at the school. The facilities are very good and the teachers are very enthusiastic. I did not encounter any difficulties during the admission process because the teachers created the best possible conditions."

Unlike Thu Phuong and Dieu, Ha Thi Trinh from Hoa Binh, although she failed to get into the Oriental Studies Department of the University in last year's university entrance exam, still decided to choose the University of Social Sciences and Humanities to study, the only difference this time was that she chose the Tourism and Travel Management Department of the Tourism Studies Department. "The University of Social Sciences and Humanities is the largest social science training school in the country, so I also want to study here, my high school head teacher also advised me to study at the University. Last year I registered for Oriental Studies but failed. This year I registered for the Tourism Studies Department - a dynamic major with good output. My first impression of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities is that the campus is very airy, clean and beautiful," Trinh shared.

Future plans and projects

Minh Van said that after the admission ceremony, she plans to register to be a class officer. Van confided: I am very happy to participate in collective activities and organizations, but I am also a bit worried because I am still confused and also feel that my responsibilities will be greater. But I will try my best to not disappoint the trust of teachers and friends.

As for Thu, "I know the school has a high-quality system, so I plan to take the exam for the high-quality class in Management Science. I hope I will also have good academic results like in my high school years."

"For now, I want to stabilize my life in a new environment. During the school year, I will try to study well. I plan to learn more English and IT to serve my studies and future work," Ha Thi Trinh shared.
