Convenient and comfortable enrollment process.
As is customary every year, new students from all majors will complete their enrollment procedures on a single day. However, this year, due to changes in the admissions process, the university has also made adjustments to the enrollment procedure to ensure it is more convenient.
Firstly, the enrollment process will take place over two days, divided into two shifts: morning and afternoon. Different departments will also be grouped to handle student enrollment in a single shift. For example, this morning, only Journalism, Public Relations, Tourism and Travel Management, Hotel Management, and Anthropology were working. Other departments will proceed in later shifts.
This change is considered reasonable. Reducing the number of people attending the enrollment day makes the atmosphere less noisy, but it also makes the enrollment process much more comfortable for faculty, staff, and new students.
Secondly, new students of the 2015 cohort will undergo an additional document verification process before completing the enrollment procedures, handled by the University's Training Department. This step was added because the University of Social Sciences and Humanities recently organized an aptitude test for university admissions, replacing the traditional entrance exam used in previous years.

Humanism in the eyes of new students
For many years, the Faculty of Journalism and Communication at the University has been a reliable choice for young people who love journalism. Tran Thu Phuong (from Hanoi), who applied to the Journalism major, said when asked why she chose Journalism at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities: “I know many seniors who studied at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, and I know that the environment at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities is exemplary, disciplined, but also very friendly. Since childhood, I've been passionate about traveling, so I decided to choose the Faculty of Journalism and Communication. The Faculty of Journalism and Communication is considered a dynamic faculty, and the seniors are all very friendly. I couldn't sleep last night, but now I'm very excited and nervous. I hope to be able to work alongside the student volunteers, become a good student, and practice journalism really well.”

Meanwhile, Ha Thi Diu, despite being from Son La, still traveled all the way to Hanoi to study Anthropology at the university. Diu shared: “I like researching human beings. I want to work in a field related to humans, and I really want to know how I came into existence from an evolutionary perspective. This is my first time at the university. The facilities are excellent and the teachers are very enthusiastic. I also didn't encounter any difficulties during the enrollment process because the teachers created the best possible conditions for me.”
Unlike Thu Phuong and Dieu, Ha Thi Trinh from Hoa Binh, despite not getting into the Faculty of Oriental Studies at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in last year's university entrance exam, still decided to choose the University of Social Sciences and Humanities to study, only this time she chose the Tourism and Travel Management major in the Faculty of Tourism Studies. “The University of Social Sciences and Humanities is the largest social science training university in the country, so I also wanted to study there. My high school homeroom teacher also advised me to study there. Last year I applied to Oriental Studies but didn't get in. This year I applied to the Faculty of Tourism Studies – a dynamic major with good job prospects. My first impression of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities is that the campus is very spacious, clean, and beautiful,” Trinh shared.
