In his opening speech, Associate Professor Dr. Pham Quang Minh spent a lot of time talking about the importance of student scientific research in promoting the quality of training and research in the university environment. Talking to students, Associate Professor Dr. Pham Quang Minh said: many great scientific works sometimes originate from seemingly simple scientific ideas. Many teachers have developed their doctoral theses from their own scientific research topics while still in school. Many students have discovered their research ability and passion from the first practice sessions in the student research movement. Therefore, students should be active and confident in participating in scientific research with a spirit of inquiry, creativity and boldness, because this is a great opportunity to practice research ability, professional capacity and many other skills. In the 2011-2012 school year, the whole school had 709 student research projects competing from department to faculty level, attracting more than 1,000 students to participate in the research. This year, the scientific research activities of students have many outstanding points. The number of students participating in scientific research is increasing day by day and research activities are taking place evenly in all majors, faculties and departments of the school. The quality of research projects reflects the solidity of the knowledge trained and the passion for research of students. The research projects not only delve into the basic theory of the field of study, but many topics also touch on many practical and current issues to serve the needs of society in all fields such as: journalism, tourism, social work, psychology, management science... To achieve the above results, units from the School, faculties and departments to instructors all agree and coordinate closely to create the best conditions for students and aim for the quality of products of a leading research university.
