On May 19 and 20, 2012, the Executive Committee of the Trade Union of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities held a training conference on Trade Union work in 2012 and visited historical sites in the two provinces of Tuyen Quang and Thai Nguyen.Attending the Conference were Associate Professor Dr. Tran Kim Dinh - Standing Member of the Vietnam Education Trade Union, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Kim - Vice Rector of the University, Dr. Nguyen Quang Lieu - Vice President of the VNU Trade Union and more than 50 officials in charge of Trade Union work of units under the University. The Conference listened to Associate Professor Dr. Dang Xuan Khang - Chairman of the University Trade Union present the Draft Work Plan of the University Trade Union Executive Committee for the XXIX term (2012 - 2014) and the Trade Union Work Plan for the 2012 - 2013 school year, announce some new policies of the State for cadres and civil servants, about changes in the Internal Expenditure Regulations and provide guidance on some issues of Trade Union work. Regarding the Union work in the 2012-2013 school year, the Executive Committee of the University Union took the theme: "Union with the innovation of school management" with some specific focuses such as: continuing to respond to the movement of fundamental and comprehensive innovation of university education towards standardization, modernization, socialization and international integration; promoting the implementation of the Office Culture Regulations throughout the University, contributing to strengthening discipline, teaching and learning order, contributing to improving the quality and efficiency of work; continuing to respond to the second phase of the movement of Studying and following the moral example of Ho Chi Minh; propagating and implementing the 4 work programs of the University for the period 2012-2015. Speaking at the conference, Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Kim Dinh highly appreciated the Union work of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and especially emphasized the position of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities Union as the base, core representative in the VNU Union. The conference also listened to the direction of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Kim - Vice Principal of the University. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Kim affirmed that in recent years, the Trade Union has made many positive contributions to the activities of the University. The Party Committee and the Board of Directors always highly appreciate the role of the University Trade Union and believe that in the coming time, the University Trade Union will continue to promote the achievements, continue to affirm its position as a strong core grassroots Trade Union in the Trade Union system of Hanoi National University in particular and in the Vietnam Education Trade Union in general, thereby contributing to affirming the role, position and reputation of the University. On the occasion of the 122nd anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday and the 65th anniversary of his return to ATK to lead the resistance war against French colonialism for national independence, the delegation of the University Trade Union visited historical sites in the two provinces of Tuyen Quang and Thai Nguyen.
In Tuyen Quang, the delegation visited Na Lua hut, Tan Trao banyan tree and Son Duong Museum. In Thai Nguyen, the delegation visited and offered incense at the President Ho Chi Minh Memorial House in the ATK Dinh Hoa historical relic site; visited the Museum of Vietnamese Ethnic Cultures in Thai Nguyen city. These are meaningful activities, responding to the second phase of the Campaign to Study and Follow the Moral Example of Ho Chi Minh by the union members of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
