Receiving the delegation from Kaohsiung University.

A delegation from National Kaohsiung University (Taiwan), led by President Hoang Anh Trung, visited and worked at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities on May 11, 2012. Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh – the University's President – ​​along with leaders of the Faculty of Linguistics and the Department of Han Nom Studies, received and worked with the delegation.During the meeting, both sides discussed cooperation between the two universities to gradually concretize the agreement on faculty and student exchange. It is expected that in August 2012, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities will send Associate Professor Dr. Dao Thanh Lan (Faculty of Linguistics) to teach Vietnamese for one year at National Kaohsiung University, develop a Vietnamese language curriculum for National Kaohsiung University students, and create a program to assess Vietnamese language proficiency to international standards. At the same time, the leaders of the two universities also discussed coordinating the organization of a scientific conference next year. Prior to this, on March 30, 2012, Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh – Rector of the University – visited and signed a cooperation agreement with National Kaohsiung University on several areas of mutual interest, with a particular focus on cooperation in developing the Vietnamese language program. National Kaohsiung University comprises the College of Social Sciences and Humanities, the College of Law, the College of Science, the College of Engineering, and the College of Management, offering bachelor's, master's, and doctoral programs.
