Won first prize in the 2012 Ho Chi Minh Thought Competition

On May 14, 2012, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Student Association coordinated with the Youth Union of Hanoi National University to organize the contest "Learning about Ho Chi Minh's ideology". The Center for Support and Development of Vietnamese Students and the Youth Union of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities were the hosts of the program. The contest was attended by 7 universities/faculties under Hanoi National University: University of Social Sciences and Humanities, University of Natural Sciences, University of Foreign Languages, University of Economics, University of Technology, University of Education and Faculty of Law.Attending the event were Mr. Vu Thanh Mai - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Central Youth Union's School Youth Committee, Vice President of the Vietnam Student Association; Mr. Tran Thanh Lam - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Central Youth Union's Propaganda Department; Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Kim Son - Vice President of Hanoi National University; Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Duc Nghieu - Vice President of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities... The teams participating in the competition went through 4 rounds: greeting, overcoming obstacles, talent, and eloquence. In the final result, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities won first prize; the second prize went to the University of Foreign Languages, the third prize was awarded to the Faculty of Law, and the remaining teams won consolation prizes. The University of Social Sciences and Humanities also achieved the highest score in the eloquence round. The competition is one of the practical activities to celebrate the 122nd birthday of President Ho Chi Minh. At the same time, it is also one of the typical activities contributing to making the content of studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology a regular and continuous task of the Youth Union and Student Association, associated with the implementation of revolutionary action movements of the youth.
