8.1 Facilities on the first day of the school's establishment.

Pursuant to Decision No. 137/KHTC dated December 20, 1995 of the Director of Hanoi National University on the assignment of responsibility for management and use of facilities of Hanoi National University to the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and the University of Natural Sciences, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities is assigned to manage and use facilities at 02 campuses (campus 1 at 336 Nguyen Trai Street, Thanh Xuan District, Hanoi and campus 2 at Bach Khoa Ward, Hai Ba Trung District, Hanoi). The total land area of ​​the school is 1.46 hectares. In the early days of its establishment, the school's facilities included building A, building B, building AB, building BC and 1/2 building C, with a total floor area of ​​7,800 m2. The working areas of the Headquarters and of the faculties mostly had to work together with units of the University of Natural Sciences. The school's lecture halls are mainly located in AB and BC buildings and rented at Me Tri Dormitory. To ensure training activities, the school has to organize 3 shifts. Regarding equipment, there are only simple equipment such as desks and chairs for office use. There are no practice rooms, experimental rooms, or specialized classrooms.

8.2. Infrastructure investment in the past 20 years.

Over the past 20 years, under the direction of the Board of Directors through the periods, with the attention and active support of Hanoi National University, with many different funding sources, the School has gradually upgraded and supplemented facilities to promptly serve the training and scientific research work of the School. The working area, lecture hall area, practice and experimental rooms have all been expanded. By the end of 2014, the total floor area of ​​the School was 26,688 m2 (an increase of nearly 3.5 times compared to the first day of the School's establishment). Practice rooms, experimental rooms, and specialized classrooms have also been invested in and expanded. Equipment serving teaching and scientific research has also been invested in, concentrated in lecture halls, the Center for Journalism and Communication, the Museum of Anthropology and in units. Over the past 20 years, the School has completed and put into use a number of projects as follows:

- Completed and put into use 10,776 m2 of office space, 13,363 m2 of classroom space. Including 1,460 m2 of practice room, 750 m2 of computer room and 325 m2 of foreign language classroom.

- Completed and put into use 2,549 m2 of meeting rooms, halls and documentation rooms; Project to invest in equipment for the Center for Journalism and Communication, with a total cost of over 30 billion; Project to invest in equipment for the Museum of Anthropology. Cost nearly 5 billion; practice rooms for Tourism Studies, Linguistics and Psychology Experimental rooms.

- Completed the project of equipping computers for the Internet room, the Information Technology Center and for the units, the total number of computers is 774. Of which, 354 computers are for students, 156 computers are for training, and 264 computers are for management.

- Invest in projectors for lecture halls, meeting rooms, and seminar rooms. Currently, all large lecture halls, meeting rooms, and seminar rooms of the school are equipped with standard projectors to serve the training and scientific research of the school well. The total number of projectors equipped is 101.

8.3. Workinnovation in university governance and administrative reform.

In recent years, under the direct guidance of the Party Committee and the Board of Directors, the work of university governance innovation and administrative reform has been effectively implemented to serve the management of the School. Up to now, the School has completed the following tasks:

- Complete the project to build and apply a quality management system according to ISO 9001:2008 standards in all functional departments of the Headquarters.

- Effectively deploy VNU E-office software in management and operation activities.

- Build standard storage room.
