On October 14, 2015, at room 203 of the Administration Building of Vietnam National University, Hanoi, the opening ceremony of the external assessment of Vietnam National University, Hanoi was held by the Center for Training Quality Assurance in collaboration with the Faculty of Oriental Studies, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi to assess the training program of the Faculty of Oriental Studies according to AUN standards - the standards of the network of universities in the Southeast Asia region.

Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Van Kim chaired the meeting.

After the opening ceremony, representatives of the 4 AUN Evaluation Teams had a working session with the leaders of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and all leaders, heads of departments, staff and lecturers of the Faculty of Oriental Studies in room 506, Building E. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Kim (Vice Rector of the University) and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi Minh Hoa (Vice Rector of the University) chaired the meeting. On behalf of the leaders of the Faculty of Oriental Studies, Dr. Nguyen Tran Tien gave an overview of the Faculty of Oriental Studies as well as the training program of the Faculty. After that, the council moved on to the interview session to answer the questions of the evaluation team about the training program of the Faculty of Oriental Studies.

The external assessment will close on October 16 at room 203, VNU Administration Building.
