Professor Ichiro Fujioka stated that the two sides signed a cooperation agreement two years ago to lay the foundation for future collaboration. He welcomed the proposal from Associate Professor Pham Quang Minh and said that Kyoto Sangyo University wishes to cooperate specifically in activities with the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. In particular, he proposed organizing a program to welcome Vietnamese students to Japan under a combined study, research, and internship model. Accordingly, each year the University of Social Sciences and Humanities would send one outstanding undergraduate/graduate student to Japan to study, conduct research, and participate in a Japanese company's project as an intern. Kyoto Sangyo University would provide partial funding for these activities. Furthermore, this undergraduate/graduate student would have the opportunity to receive internship certificates after completing their work.
In response, Associate Professor Pham Quang Minh stated that the University of Social Sciences and Humanities is ready to welcome Japanese students to study and conduct research at the University and will support them in their academic and research activities. Furthermore, he expressed his hope that students from both universities would have the opportunity to conduct joint research on issues such as climate change and future research, or participate in short-term courses organized by both universities. This would not only help students from both universities exchange knowledge and experience but also promote bilateral cooperation.
