Promoting cooperation with Hosan University (South Korea)

During the meeting, Associate Professor Pham Quang Minh introduced basic information about the University of Social Sciences and Humanities: The University is a key member of the Vietnam National University, Hanoi, with 16 faculties and 12 research centers. The Faculty of Oriental Studies currently offers a Korean Studies program, one of the leading institutions for training in Korean Studies and the Korean language. The University also has the Seijong Korean Language Center, specializing in Korean language training for Vietnamese people, with support from Busan University (Korea). Over the years, with expanded cooperation between the University and the Korean Embassy, ​​universities, research institutes, foundations, and social organizations in Korea, the University has achieved significant success in promoting research and training in Korean Studies.

Professor Kim Mi Sun wishes to promote cooperation with the University of Social Sciences and Humanities through the signing of a cooperation agreement between the two sides. According to the agreement, the two sides will develop academic and educational cooperation and promote mutual understanding. Some proposed areas of cooperation include: exchange of faculty, students, and researchers; implementation of joint research projects, as well as joint workshops and seminars; exchange of academic information and materials; and promotion of other academic fields relevant to both sides. The memorandum of understanding will be valid for five years from the date of signing and will be implemented on an equal and reciprocal basis.

Associate Professor Pham Quang Minh pledged to create the best conditions to support the implementation of the proposed cooperation. The Rector will also disseminate information about Hosan University to the university's students and send the most outstanding students to South Korea for study. The Cooperation and Development Office will be the focal point for cooperation between the university and Hosan University.
