Promoting cooperation with Hosan University (Korea)

At the meeting, Associate Professor Dr. Pham Quang Minh introduced basic information about the University of Social Sciences and Humanities: The University is a pillar member of the Vietnam National University, Hanoi, with 16 faculties and 12 research centers. The Faculty of Oriental Studies of the University currently has a Korean Studies major, which is one of the leading training addresses for Korean studies and Korean language. The University also has the Seijong Korean Language Center specializing in Korean language training for Vietnamese people, with the support of Busan University (Korea). Over the years, with the expansion of cooperation between the University and the Korean Embassy, ​​universities, research institutes, funds, and social organizations of Korea, the University has had remarkable achievements in promoting research and training in Korean studies.

Professor Kim Mi Sun wishes to promote cooperation with the University of Social Sciences and Humanities through the signing of a cooperation document between the two sides. According to the cooperation memorandum, the two sides will develop academic and educational cooperation and promote common understanding. Some areas of cooperation proposed by the two sides are: exchange of lecturers, students, and postgraduates; implementation of joint research projects as well as joint seminars and workshops; exchange of information and academic materials; promotion of other academic fields suitable for both sides. The memorandum of understanding will be valid for 5 years from the date of signing and will be implemented on the basis of equality and reciprocity.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh pledged to create the best conditions to support the implementation of the above cooperation proposals. The President will also disseminate information about Hosan University to the School's students and send the best students to Korea to study. The Office of Cooperation and Development will be the focal point for cooperation between the School and Hosan University.
