Visiting local volunteer soldiers.

At the end of July, representatives from the Standing Committee of the University's Youth Union and Student Association visited student volunteer units in Minh Quang and Khanh Thuong communes (Ba Vi district, Hanoi) and Kien Dai commune (Chiem Hoa district, Tuyen Quang province).

The visits aimed to check on the volunteers' activities and encourage their volunteer spirit in the coming days. This year's local volunteer program lasted for a period of time.20 days (from July 15th to August 5th, 2014).

Comrade Nguyen Thi Mai Lan (Deputy Secretary of the School's Youth Union, President of the School's Student Association) visited two volunteer teams in Ba Vi district, Hanoi on July 25th. During the visit, she and the volunteer teams visited and presented gifts to families of war invalids and martyrs on the occasion of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27th); and presented the youth project "Humanities Bookcase" to Lat village (Minh Quang commune) and Khanh Chuc Doi village (Khanh Thuong commune).

On July 27th, Comrade Tran Duc Hoa (Standing Committee Member of the University's Youth Union, Vice President of the University's Student Association) visited and worked with the volunteer team in Kien Dai commune, Chiem Hoa district, Tuyen Quang province. He also conducted activities in commemoration of the War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27th): visiting and giving gifts to war invalid families. On August 28th, Comrade Tran Duc Hoa, on behalf of the University's Youth Union and Student Association, presented the "Humanities Bookcase" youth project to Kien Dai commune. The "Humanities Bookcase" includes nearly 200 books on social sciences and humanities, children's comics, magazines, etc.

Hopefully, with the support of the Youth Union and Student Association of the University, the volunteers from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (Vietnam National University, Hanoi) will continue to do a great job in their work in the localities during the final days of the volunteer period.
