Welcoming the delegation from Humber College (Canada)

During the meeting, Professor Pham Quang Minh introduced basic information about the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, focusing on the university's internationalization strategy through strengthening English-language teaching programs and expanding cooperation with international partners. The university expressed its desire to exchange and cooperate with Humber College through concrete actions such as organizing joint seminars, student and faculty exchanges, and conducting joint scientific research.

On behalf of Canada, Professor Alister R. Mathieson expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome from Professor Pham Quang Minh. He stated that Humber College is ready to cooperate with the University of Social Sciences and Humanities to improve English proficiency for faculty, staff, and students, with the aim of establishing an English Center at the University. Humber College will also collaborate with the University in developing joint postgraduate programs in anthropology and tourism studies. To lay the groundwork for these activities, Professor Alister R. Mathieson proposed that both sides sign a formal cooperation agreement as soon as possible.

Professor Pham Quang Minh agreed with the above proposals and committed to promptly implementing the signing of the bilateral cooperation agreement. The Cooperation and Development Department will be the main point of contact for the University. In addition, the Rector invited Professor Alister R. Mathieson to attend the international conference on tourism to be held at the University in September 2018.
