The Trade Union of the Faculty of Management Sciences presented gifts to Ta Thang Ethnic Minority High School (Lao Cai).

As part of the "Warm Blankets for Winter" and "Bookcase of Love" donation programs, on March 11, 2018, the Executive Committee of the Trade Union of the Faculty of Management Science organized a trip to donate gifts to Ta Thang Semi-Boarding Ethnic Minority Primary School in Muong Khuong District, Lao Cai Province.

The delegation included Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Kim (Party Secretary, Vice Rector of the University), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Van Hai (Party Secretary of the Faculty of Management Science), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dao Thanh Truong (Head of the Faculty of Management Science), representatives from Binh Minh Information Technology and Surveying and Mapping Joint Stock Company, the faculty and staff, and representatives from the Student Union of the Faculty of Management Science. Also accompanying the delegation was Ms. Tran Thi Ngoc Hieu (representative of the Education and Training Department of Muong Khuong District).

The organizing committee donated 50 new warm blankets, comic books, warm clothes, fresh milk, sweets, and two dish racks for the boarding school's kitchen. The total value of the gifts was 20 million VND.

The delegation also awarded 15 scholarships, each worth 500,000 VND. Specifically: Dr. Doan Van Khoa (Director of Binh Minh Information Technology and Surveying and Mapping Joint Stock Company) awarded 10 scholarships to underprivileged students with excellent academic achievements at the main campus. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Van Hai and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dao Thanh Truong awarded 5 scholarships to underprivileged students with excellent academic achievements at the 5 branch campuses of the University.

Through the activities of the delegation, Trang Do Kindergarten (Cau Giay, Hanoi) also donated a large number of books and coloring books to the students of Ta Thang Semi-Boarding Ethnic Minority Primary School.
On behalf of the school, Mr. Nguyen Van An (Principal of Ta Thang Ethnic Minority Boarding Primary School) expressed his sincere gratitude to the entire staff and students of the school and the units that accompanied the delegation for visiting, sharing difficulties, and encouraging the teachers and students of Ta Thang Ethnic Minority Boarding Primary School.
