The task of imparting to future journalists is not only about professional knowledge of journalism, but more importantly, about understanding pressing social issues, the pulse of the times, and fostering professional ethics and competence. Through the "flames" of previous generations of journalists, lecturers and journalism students will learn about the practical aspects of the profession, and develop a greater love and appreciation for their future careers. At the same time, it increases the responsibility and awareness of previous generations of journalists, not only to perform their duties well now but also to nurture the next generation of journalists to realize their professional ideals.
The National Press Conference, held annually, is a major event for journalists nationwide, contributing to celebrating the great achievements of Vietnamese journalism and promoting journalistic products associated with the work and creativity of journalists across the country. Over the years, the Faculty of Journalism and Communication has actively participated in the Conference as a representative of research and training institutions in journalism and communication nationwide; thereby introducing to the public the latest achievements in journalism and communication research and training.
