Receiving and working with the delegation from Ha Long University.

On March 7, 2018, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan (Vice Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities) along with representatives from the Faculty of Journalism and Communication, the Faculty of Tourism Studies, the Faculty of Archival Studies and Office Management, and the Department of Religious Studies received and worked with a delegation from Ha Long University led by Mr. Tran Trung Vi (Vice Rector).

During the meeting, Associate Professor Hoang Anh Tuan briefly introduced the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. The university currently has 16 faculties, offering nearly 100 majors, including 31 Master's degree programs and 28 Doctoral degree programs. In addition, the university also organizes short-term training in fields such as Social Work and Media Management. The Vice Rector expressed his hope that both sides would soon begin cooperation activities in areas of mutual interest.

On behalf of Ha Long University, Mr. Tran Trung Vi expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome from Vice Rector Hoang Anh Tuan and the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. He proposed that the two sides jointly organize undergraduate training courses in Journalism, Cultural Management, Social Work, and School Equipment Management; master's degree courses in Cultural Management, Religious Management, and Office Administration; and other short-term training courses. Ha Long University also wishes to conduct joint research projects with the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in fields such as Heritage Management and Archaeology, especially in Quang Ninh province. Ha Long University is ready to connect and communicate with agencies, organizations, and associations in Quang Ninh province to support cooperative activities between the two sides.

On behalf of the Board of Directors of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan endorsed the proposals of Mr. Tran Trung Vi. The Vice Rector pledged to promptly direct and coordinate the relevant units to plan and implement the aforementioned cooperation ideas. The Training Department will be the main point of contact for the University.

Ha Long University was established on October 13, 2014, through the merger of Quang Ninh Teacher Training College and Ha Long College of Culture, Arts and Tourism. Ha Long University currently has over 5,000 students, including 3,300 full-time students. Ha Long University offers multi-disciplinary and multi-field training, providing highly qualified human resources in science, technology, economics, education, and social sciences and humanities; it serves as a center for scientific research and technology transfer to support the socio-economic development of Quang Ninh province and the Northern Delta region.
