Professor Nguyen Van Khanh introduced the rich tradition and history of the University's development. The Rector emphasized that the University of Social Sciences and Humanities is undergoing a very strong process of international integration. To date, the university has expanded its international exchange and cooperation with over 180 international universities and research institutes. The university always focuses on building and developing cooperative relationships with universities, research institutes, and foundations in Korea; organizing faculty and student exchanges; collaborating with Korean scientists and scholars to implement research projects and organize international conferences. The Rector expressed his hope that the Korean Unification Committee would support and assist the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in further expanding cooperation with Korean universities in the future.
Mr. Park Chan Bong stated: Vietnam is developing very rapidly. The University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, is one of the large and prestigious universities, playing an important role in promoting relations between Vietnam and South Korea. In the future, there will be many opportunities for the two countries to learn from and exchange experiences in national development. Both sides need to strongly promote cooperation in various fields: culture, society, economy, etc.
During the meeting, both sides also exchanged and discussed the development of cooperation programs, including organizing student exchanges between the two countries and jointly organizing international conferences.
Currently, there are over 100,000 Koreans living and working in Vietnam, and also about 250 Korean students studying in Vietnam. The University of Social Sciences and Humanities has been training many Korean students in programs ranging from bachelor's to master's and doctoral degrees.
