During the meeting, the leaders of the two schools discussed opportunities for future cooperation between the two sides.
Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Kim emphasized: "The University of Social Sciences and Humanities always prioritizes and strengthens cooperative relationships with universities both domestically and internationally. For many years, the university has had very good cooperative relationships with universities in Taiwan; the number of scholars and graduate students coming to Vietnam for research is increasing. This visit by the delegation from Pingtung University of Education to the University of Social Sciences and Humanities marks a good start for the cooperative relationship between the two universities in the future. It is hoped that both sides will soon have concrete collaborations: exchanging lecturers and students, coordinating joint research projects, etc."
Professor Kha Minh Kiet stated that the purpose of the delegation's visit was to establish an initial foundation for cooperation with the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, and to explore opportunities for collaboration between the two sides in the field of education. Pingtung University of Education has many cooperation programs with universities in countries such as Japan, South Korea, and mainland China. Professor Kha Minh Kiet expressed his hope that in the future, the two universities will have opportunities to cooperate and exchange lecturers and students.
At the end of the meeting, the leaders of both sides agreed that the two schools would have more specific discussions to soon establish a cooperative relationship and draft a formal memorandum of cooperation.
Pingtung University of Education has a history of 67 years of formation and development. Currently, the university has 3 colleges: Social Sciences and Humanities, Natural Sciences, and Education; approximately 5000 students; 20 departments, each with its own research center.
