In his presentation, Dr. Gudrun Wacker addressed the relationship between Europe and Asia, and Europe's interest in Asia. Asia, including Vietnam, is one of the European Union's (EU) important partners. Asia's emerging markets have global significance. The EU's main area of cooperation in Asia is economic. Currently, Europe is one of the largest export markets for Asian countries. Therefore, economic cooperation can also be seen as a way for Europe to approach Asia. Establishing a rational relationship between the EU and the Asian region is one of the major challenges facing the European Union. The challenge now is how Europe should position itself in the Asian region?
Following Dr. Gudrun Wacker's presentation, the students asked numerous questions related to the EU's perspective on the crisis in Ukraine, the EU's experiences in building a regional integration model, the challenges in Eurasian relations, and measures to strengthen relations between the two sides.
