In her presentation, Dr. Gudrun Wacker mentioned the relationship between Europe and Asia and Europe's interest in Asia. Asia, including Vietnam, is one of the important partners of the European Union (EU). Asia's emerging market has global significance. The EU's main cooperation in Asia is economic. Currently, Europe is one of the major export markets of Asian countries. Therefore, economic cooperation can be seen as an approach to Asia for Europe. Establishing a reasonable relationship between the EU and Asia is one of the major challenges for the European Union. The challenge now is how should Europe position itself in Asia?

After Dr. Gudrun Wacker's presentation, students asked many questions related to the EU's perspective on the crisis in Ukraine, the EU's experiences in building a regional integration model, challenges in Asia-Europe relations, measures to strengthen relations between the two sides, etc.

Dr. Gudrun Wacker's presentation is a valuable opportunity to help staff and students understand more about Asia-Europe relations, the EU's new strategy as well as the challenges that both sides need to overcome in the new international context.
