During the meeting, Associate Professor Hoang Anh Tuan briefly introduced the history of training and research at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, highlighting its position as a leading institution for social sciences and humanities education in Vietnam. Among the University's partners, the Vice Rector affirmed that Japan has always been a crucial partner in the University's international cooperation strategy. The University maintains close relationships with Japanese universities such as the University of Tokyo, Tokyo University of Foreign Studies, Osaka University, Showa Women's University, and Waseda University.
In response, Professor Yasunao Kojita expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. He stated that Nara Women's University wishes to promote joint research projects and comparative studies among universities in East Asia, including Vietnam in particular. Specifically for the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, he proposed organizing a parallel international conference on the history of Vietnam and Japan in East Asia in relation to Chinese history.
Associate Professor Hoang Anh Tuan agreed with Professor Yasunao Kojita's proposals and expressed hope that in the future, the two universities would implement more concrete collaborations in activities such as faculty and student exchanges and joint research projects. The Faculty of Oriental Studies and the Office of Cooperation and Development will serve as the liaison between the two sides.
