During the meeting, both sides discussed plans to organize a seminar on the "Bonjournal of Gratitude," the relationship between Dr. Asaba Sakitaro and Phan Boi Chau, and Vietnam-Japan relations in general, scheduled for December 13th. The seminar aims to introduce the "Bonjournal of Gratitude" and the relationship between Phan Boi Chau and Dr. Asaba Sakitaro in particular, and the Japanese people in general. In addition, there will be an exhibition about Phan Boi Chau and the "Eastern Journey" movement in Japan. The event will be attended by representatives from the Japanese Embassy in Vietnam, representatives from the Asaba-Vietnam Association, and lecturers and students from the Faculty of Oriental Studies, the Faculty of History, the Faculty of International Studies, the Faculty of Literature, and the Faculty of Vietnamese Studies and Vietnamese Language of the University; several media outlets, such as VTV television, will also report on the event.
On behalf of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Professor Pham Quang Minh expressed his gratitude for the goodwill of Ms. Yukiho Amma and the Asaba-Vietnam Association. The Rector stated that the University has a strong interest in and has organized many activities related to the history of Vietnam-Japan relations, such as the seminar "History, Culture and Cultural Diplomacy: The Vitality of Vietnam-Japan Relations in the New International and Regional Context" on September 20, 2013. At the end of September, the University will collaborate with the Nagasaki Peace Foundation to organize an exhibition on the relics of the atomic bomb war in Nagasaki. On December 15th and 16th, the University will cooperate with the Japan Foundation for Cultural Exchange, the Asaba-Vietnam Association, and the Nghe An Provincial People's Committee to organize a seminar commemorating the 150th anniversary of the birth of the patriot Phan Boi Chau. Dr. Pham Quang Minh shared that these activities will contribute to the relationship between the University and the Asaba-Vietnam Association in particular, and the Vietnam-Japan relationship in general. The Rector extended an invitation to participate in these activities, which was happily accepted by Ms. Yukiho Amma.

The Asaba-Vietnam Association aims to promote good relations between Vietnam and Japan through the friendship between Dr. Abasa Sakitaro and the patriot Phan Boi Chau. The association has undertaken numerous commemorative activities, such as celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Dong Du Movement and visiting the Phan Boi Chau Memorial House in Nam Dan in 2005; compiling and publishing a Japanese-language book entitled "Vietnam's Path to Independence - The History of the Dong Du Movement" in March 2008; and donating a commemorative plaque for the "Dong Du Movement" to Thua Thien Hue province on November 3, 2010.
