During the meeting, Professor Pham Quang Minh shared that the University of Social Sciences and Humanities is a key member unit of the Vietnam National University, Hanoi. The university is currently implementing an internationalization strategy and expanding international relations. To achieve this goal, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities wishes to have more exchanges and cooperation with foreign partners in research and training in various fields. The Rector stated that Professor Martin Kovár's visit is a good opportunity to further promote relations with Charles University in Prague in particular and universities in the Czech Republic in general.
In response, Professor Martin Kovár expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome and candidly shared the opportunity for cooperation. He stated that expanding relations with universities in Vietnam is one of the important goals of Charles University in Prague as well as the Czech Republic. He proposed developing cooperation with Vietnam in the fields of social sciences and humanities such as history, philosophy, political science, and literature.
Professor Pham Quang Minh highly appreciated Professor Martin Kovár's goodwill. The Rector stated that in 2016, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities signed a training cooperation agreement with the Faculty of Arts of Charles University. This is a good opportunity to expand relations with other faculties on the other side. For reference, the Rector also introduced some joint training courses that the University co-organizes with partners such as Humboldt University (Germany), Stirling University (UK), University of Zurich (Switzerland), and Toulouse II University (France).
